Regal cherry elegance
Growing all along the Dalmatian Coast, marasca cherries are used to create bright and tart maraschino liqueur. Our delightful drink is named in honor of Helen the Glorious, who ruled Croatia during a time of peace and growth. Rosehip syrup and orange flower water balance the cherry taste with a delicate floral note.
Ingredients
metric standard30 ml maraschino
30 ml vodka
25 ml rosehip syrup
25 ml fresh lemon juice
2 dashes orange flower water
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Add 1 scoop of cubed ice and shake vigorously. Use a cocktail and mesh strainer to double strain into a coupe glass.
For rosehip syrup, add 25 g rosehip and 1:1 sugar and water to a pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer for 1 hour. Strain any solids. Cool before using.
