The Spice Trade brings together the robust flavors of Scandinavia with the aromatic essence of India. Refreshing and light, this cocktail merges luscious fruit with hints of baking spices, offering a balanced experience that finishes with a subtle note of dill.
Ingredients
metric standard45 ml pear eau di vie
15 ml dill aquavit
15 ml turmeric cordial (or substitute with ginger cordial or 1 barspoon turmeric powder)
2 dashes génépy
Sparkling water (on top)
Dill (garnish)
Preparation
Combine all ingredients, except the sparkling water, into a double old fashioned glass. Add 1 large ice cube or light ice and stir. Top with sparkling water. Garnish with dill.
For turmeric cordial, juice ginger. Combine ginger juice with honey syrup (use 1:1 ginger juice and syrup), turmeric, and a small amount of Champagne vinegar.
