Calamansi Spritz
A sweet summer mocktail
The perfect summer spark. Inspired by the traditional Italian aperitivo spritz. The distinct calamansi juice is equally sweet and sour. The taste is reminiscent of key lime with hints of kiwi and orange flavors. Paired with non-alcoholic citrus liqueur and watermelon syrup, this drink offers a balanced sweetness that’s incredibly refreshing.
Ingredients
metric standard30 ml calamansi juice (or substitute with key lime juice)
30 ml non-alcoholic citrus liqueur
30 ml non-alcoholic aperitivo
25 ml watermelon syrup
60-90 ml non-alcoholic sparkling wine
Lemon peel (garnish)
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a wine glass. Add ice and stir lightly. Express a lemon peel and add to glass.
To make this drink simpler: use watermelon syrup, calamansi juice (or key lime juice), and sparkling wine (or sparkling water).
For watermelon syrup, juice watermelon and strain solids. Add sugar and juice (use 1:1 juice and sugar) to a pot. Simmer on medium heat until infused. Cool before using.
