Reviving tradition
Inspired by the Jasmine cocktail, this version swaps gin for arak, one of Israel’s favorite spirits. The lemon juice adds a layer of citrus, while yellow chartreuse adds herbal notes to balance the tart flavors. The result is an invigorating cocktail, perfect for those who love a tangy burst.
Ingredients
metric standard45 ml arak (or substitute with rhum agricole or Caribbean white rum)
10 ml red bitter liqueur
10 ml triple sec
25 ml fresh lemon juice
10 ml simple syrup
1 barspoon yellow chartreuse (optional)
Lemon peel (expression)
Preparation
Combine all ingredients and ice in a shaker. Shake vigorously. Use a cocktail and mesh strainer to double strain into a glass. Express a lemon peel and discard.
