Seaside chic
Made with rosemary, basil, and even olives, Mediterranean gins are gaining popularity with mixologists worldwide. Here the gin adds a refreshing botanical layer while the velvety zivania shines through with hints of licorice.
Ingredients
metric standard5 basil leaves
1 squeeze of lime
45 ml Mediterranean gin
15 ml zivania (or substitute with ouzo or aquavit)
120 ml tonic
Lime wheel (garnish)
Basil sprig (garnish)
Preparation
Add basil leaves to a Collins glass and gently muddle. Add a squeeze of lime and fill with ice. Then add all other ingredients. Garnish with a lime wheel and a sprig of basil.
