A spirited fusion of Singapore and Spain
The España Sling pairs the vibrant fruitiness of the classic Singapore Sling with the botanical richness of the Spanish gin & tonic, known for its aromatic garnishes and premium tonic water. Bright and full of herbal nuances, this cocktail refreshes and delights, creating a narrative bridge between Singapore’s modern trade routes and Spain's spirited cocktail culture.
Ingredients
metric standard30 ml Spanish gin
15 ml fresh lime juice
10 ml Bénédictine
10 ml cherry liqueur
10 ml pineapple syrup
2 dashes aromatic bitters
Tonic (on top)
Dehydrated lemon wheel (garnish)
Pineapple frond (garnish)
Grapefruit peel (expression and garnish)
Preparation
Combine all ingredients, except tonic water, into a wine glass. Add ice and stir. Top with tonic. Garnish with dehydrated lemon and frond. Express a grapefruit peel and add as a garnish.
For pineapple syrup, cut pineapple and remove skin. Strain out all solids. Add 1:1 pineapple juice and sugar to a pot. Put on medium to low heat until infused. Cool before using.
