Chai-infused comfort
Add some spice to your next sour. Influenced by the classic cocktail, this version combines the bright lemon flavors with the herbal notes of Indian gin. The addition of masala chai introduces rustic undertones of cardamom, nutmeg, and other spices, creating a calming experience.
Ingredients
metric standard60 ml Indian gin (or substitute with any gin)
25 ml fresh lemon juice
25 ml masala chai syrup
1 dash aromatic bitters
30 ml egg white (optional)
Dehydrated lemon wheel (garnish)
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a shaker. If including optional egg white, “dry shake” to activate foam. Add ice and shake until the ice dissolves. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel.
For masala chai syrup, add 1:1 masala tea and honey to a pot. Boil on medium heat and stir to integrate. Cool before using.
